Sainsbury’s is pleased to announce that a planning application for a new Sainsbury’s supermarket on the former Lower School site has been submitted to Rother District Council.

Sainsbury’s purchased the Thomas Peacocke Lower School site in June 2010. Since that time we have been progressing detailed plans for a new supermarket on the site. As part of this process we undertook an extensive public consultation late last year and received a total of 497 completed feedback forms, 89% of which indicated support for the proposals.
